Bringing the best copy to you is important to me.
I graduated from New Mexico State University with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications and a minor in English. I started my career in words as a newspaper reporter. I learned how to create a story, find the storytellers then write their words. Article topics were often informative, humorous, captivating, heart-wrenching and even boring. I learned how to write in a way that sparked emotion, whatever that emotion needed to be. As a specialist at a women’s resource center, I learned how to place words in a monthly newsletter—sending the word out about important health topics like cancer, depression and healthy eating. I also marketed the center with brochures, media kits, letters and slide show presentations. As a feature magazine editor, I wrote and edited a variety of feature articles focusing heavily on AP Style and interviewing skills. Now, I am the managing editor for the Radiology Business Management Association Bulletin.
Along with my professional career, I have been actively involved in non profit organizations—writing press releases, media kits and newsletter articles. I have helped bring money into those non profits by adding copy into grant proposals and fund raising letters.
I spend a large part of my time with words, and I would love to write some for you. Give me a call or send me an e-mail for more information on your copywriting needs.
