Written communication is an extremely important part of everyday life. We say words, we hear words, we write words and we read words.

If you are lucky, you are able to jot down words that make perfect sense. If you are really, really lucky, the words you use will make someone laugh, cry or even stand up and say that something must be done.

I graduated from New Mexico State University with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications and a minor in English. I started my career in words as a newspaper reporter. I learned how to create a story, find the storytellers then write their words. Article topics were often informative, humorous, captivating, heart-wrenching and even boring. I learned how to write in a way that sparked emotion, whatever that emotion needed to be.
